Jason began his career at one of Vancouver’s leading insurance defense firms, gaining first-hand insight into how insurance companies handle claims and litigation. He then moved to one of Canada’s top plaintiff-side firms, where he led the property insurance practice and built a reputation for standing up to insurers on behalf of policyholders. Now at Pythe Navis, he focuses exclusively on representing homeowners and business owners in property insurance disputes.
Jason brings this unique perspective to his clients, combining deep knowledge of insurance law with practical experience in both defending and challenging insurers. He has represented clients at every level of court in British Columbia, including the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeal.
Jason earned his law degree from Dalhousie University and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia. He is a guest lecturer for the Insurance Law course at UBC Law and the BCIT General Insurance and Risk Management program.
In his spare time, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, snowboarding, hiking, travelling, and getting heart broken by the Vancouver Canucks.
