Liam Corcoran is a practicing lawyer and Level 3 insurance adjuster licensed through the Insurance Council of British Columbia. Mr. Corcoran graduated as part of the inaugural class of Thompson Rivers Law School in 2014 and was called to the bar of the British Columbia Law Society in 2015. For the first four years of his career, Mr. Corcoran worked with a large Vancouver based insurance defence firm on behalf of insures, with an emphasis on property loss and insurance coverage litigation. In 2019, he joined the existing public adjusting firm of Pythe Navis Adjusters Corporation and restructured it as a Multi-Disciplinary Practice allowing him to advocate for policyholders by offering both adjusting and legal services. He now works exclusively on behalf of policyholders, predominantly in the area of first party property loss and has adjusted significant commercial and residential catastrophic losses throughout British Columbia. He has also represented policyholders in numerous coverage disputes, bad faith claims and broker liability cases, as well as frequently acting as a designated “representative” in Dispute Resolution proceedings under the Insurance Act.
In October 2018, his article “Why Broker’s Have to Admit the Limit of their Experience” was published by The Lawyer’s Daily. Mr. Corcoran is a past contributing author for the Insurance Law Conference offered through the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia. In 2025, Mr. Corcoran was asked to present as a facility member on “The Role of an Insurance Adjuster” at the annual Insurance Law Conference and was featured as a guest on the Early Edition with Stephen Quinn on CBC to discuss various insurance related issues and topics.
